Fabfitfun 2018 Fall Box

It’s about that time again when the new Fabfitfun fall box comes out! And I was pretty excited about this one!

First off, the box itself is adorable! I may be biased, because fall is my favorite season. But, look at how cozy it is!

The 1st thing this box comes with is a Beauty Blender. This one is in a light pink color, not like their usual hot pink ones. This usually retails for $20

The second item I took out are two Glamglow bubble sheet masks! I’ve used some of Glamglow’s products before and have loved them so I’m sure this mask is amazing!

The retail price- $18

The third item is a Luna bar. Which comes with a coupon to order on Amazon.

The fourth item in this box is touch-in SOL Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo in “Penny”. I’m not a huge fan of metal or foil lipsticks but the color is pretty. So who knows, I might love it.

Retail price-$24.99

The fifth item is SKIN&CO Roma Blue in Capri Shower Gel. This is a multi purpose shower gel that smells so good!

Retail price- $22

The sixth item is another skin care item. GROWN ALCHEMIST POLISHING FACIAL EXFOLIANT: Pink Grapefruit & Glucomannan Extract and it helps exfoliate dry skin.

Retail price- $67! ( I’m way too cheap to buy this on its own)

The seventh item is a cute little tea pot by Alfred. I’m not a huge tea lover but I know Chris will definitely get some good use out of this one! Retail price – $26

The eighth thing is a grey and white towel by Simply Whimsical. I love any neutral shade and it seems to go great with my kitchen.

Retail price- $14.99

The ninth product is a Catherine Malandrino Umbrella. If you know me you know I either brake or lose every umbrella I own so hopefully this one lasts!

Retail price- $39.99

LAST but not least is the Vince Camuto Luck Tote ! It’s beautiful vegan leather bag and probably my favorite thing in this whole box!

Retail price- $128

I’m on a boat OOTD ( couple edition)

Recently, I went on a yacht around NYC for a friend’s birthday! It was really great! It was a beautiful sunny day and we got to see the Statue of Liberty 🗽  and of course, take as many selfies as we wanted!

I noticed when I was getting ready I really had no idea what I would wear to something like this in the middle of summer.

I wanted to wear something light that also covered me from the sun.

I went with theses pants from Forever 21. From a distance, they look like a maxi skirt but really they were loose fitting pants with a slit up the side and a pair of shorts underneath for extra coverage.

For the top, I just went simple with a blank tank top from Primark (which you can never go wrong with).

Finally, I paired this outfit with some nude sandals from Kohl’s and a hat from H&M and of course some sunglasses 🕶!

The hat didn’t last very long because it was so windy I was scared that it would fly away!

Chris was also having trouble trying to figure out what to wear on a yacht. He wore a bright white men’s dress shirt by Michael Kors with plaid shorts from American Eagle. And since we were going on a yacht, he said, “I can’t NOT wear these shoes..” His slip-on leather Steve Madden dress sneakers.

But, he’s not that fancy, those are fake Ray Bans he got on the beach in Mexico for $10…

What would you wear to a boat party?

Leave it in the comments below!

What To Do In Cancun Mexico!

I just got back from my 5 day trip with my friends in Cancun, Mexico and I wanted to share some of my experiences and activities I did there.

Resort: The Oasis Palm

Pros: This is an all inclusive resort so that means food and drinks are included, which is great because going away and buying 3 meals a day can really add up.  There were 2 pools and they also had a great kid section if you travel with kids. The resort was right on the beach so all you had to do was grab a towel and jump right in!

Cons: Some things I didn’t like about this resort was little things were extra money. For example, the safe in your room and also the sodas in the mini refrigerator. They had a gift shop in the resort which was pretty pricey if you needed to buy extra sunscreen, meds, etc.

Activities: Beach

Pros: The first and probably most popular thing to do in Cancun is to enjoy the beaches! The sand is white and the water is clear and blue what else could you ask for?! So get yourself a drink and lay out and enjoy the sun.

Sailing: Isla Mujeres Luxury Sailing

Pros: My favorite thing we did on this trip took a boat to the island Isla Mujeres. We got to snorkel in the middle of the ocean before getting to the island. We saw the most beautiful tropical fish and also an underwater museum!  After that, we were given lunch and drinks on the boat before docking and exploring the island. We were given 2 1/2 hours to do our own thing on the island, we rented golf carts and motorbikes and set off to see what this island had to offer. The island was filled with shops, people and street art. After that, we went back on our boat for some swimming, paddle boarding and drinks. On our way back to dock we got to witness the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen so if you do this make sure you get the later time because you won’t regret it!

Cons: It seems like a lot of tourists go here so things can be a little pricey if you want to buy some things at the shops but you can definitely haggle to get a lower price.

Water Park: XEl-HA

Pros: We took an hour and a half car ride to Xel-Há in Riviera Maya to experience a natural water park. They offer so many activities for everyone to do. We snorkeled, swam in caves, cliff jumped and even enjoyed floating around in a lazy river. The food and drinks are also included at this park as well!

Cons:  Its a lot of walking! After lunch, my friends and I had to rest because our feet were hurting from not having water shoes and walking for so long. But they do have hammocks where you can lay out and maybe even take a nap!

Overall I had a great time in Mexico and really enjoyed seeing a new exciting place ❤

My Desk Essentials

I recently reorganized my desk, which I do all the time because I’m never happy with it. Or maybe I just like rearranging things, hah.

My set up is pretty simple. I like my desk to be pretty empty so I have room to do my DIYS, crafts and my planner.

What’s On My Desk:

I  have an iMac desktop that I got at Best Buy.

I like to keep my pens and markers in theses planters I got from Ikea. I love how clean they look, plus they don’t break the bank!

Some of the pencils I have in there are Ban.do Pencil set and there so cute! They each have a compliment written on them, it makes me not even want to use them haha.

The candle/ring holder and crystal were gifts.

The little plant is from Target.

The glass case the plant is in is from Amazon! Glass Terrarium

The book under that is my Q&A 5-year journal. I love things like this because I like looking back and see how much ive changed and grown as a person.

Above everything on the wall I have a Scratch Map! Overtime as I travel I get to scratch off where I’ve been and be inspired to travel more and see the world.

Last I have water. Whenever I’m on the computer I like to drink water and this brand is really cool. Boxed Water has a goal to save the planet and recycle more and I’m all about that so check out their website to learn more about them.

What are your desk essentials?

Let me know in the comments!

Traveling To Nassau, Bahamas

My vacation finally arrived and let me just say, it was beautiful!

One of the things I was looking forward to the most was the clear blue water the Bahamas has to offer, and I wasn’t disappointed! IMG_8770

My friends and I stayed at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort and this was the view from our room!

I’m jealous of the people that get to wake up to this on a daily basis. IMG_8774

We spent everyday on the beach. Tanning, swimming and some more swimming.

The ocean was the best part, clean warm water and white sand.

Lots of people sold clothing, bracelets, drinks and were even selling hair braiding on the beach.IMG_8814IMG_8785Fresh coconut drinks and a lot of other juices, and don’t forget the rum = BAHAMA-MAMA

The drink of choice!

It did rain a little bit when we were there, but it never lasted longer then 2o minutes and right after the sun would come out. So, most of the time we just stayed on the beach and waited. We had our swim suits on anyway who cares if we got even more wet, ha!IMG_8815

One thing we really wanted to try was snorkeling! We went on a boat to a private island and saw some fish! Some were white, almost clear, and others were blue with yellow, so cute. It was pretty cool, I did get a little motion sickness but sometimes you just gotta suck it up and still make the best of it! IMG_8832IMG_8878

It was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve been on and I didn’t have a care in the world, but I’m sure the drinks and getting a massage on the beach helped that, haha!Image-8

Everyone was so nice at the resort and just the locals in general. They were all just happy to be living life and talking to new people and were all about having a good time.

When you live in New York you forget about that sometimes, and this was definitely a good reminder to slow down and just be happy about the little things in life.

BeachWear For The Bahamas

On the 16th of July, my two girlfriends and I are making our way to the Bahamas!

So, you know what that means. Shopping for the sun! We’re going for 5 days and I figured that two swim suits would be enough, but I’m sure in the next couple weeks if I see a cute one, I’m going to end up buying it. Because lets face it, sometimes I have zero will power haha.

The 1st one-piece I bought was this cute blue one from Old Navy . It comes with removable halter top straps, so no tan lines, yay! It also has an open back which adds a little extra something since everything else is so simple.

Next, I bought this peachy pink one-piece also from Old Navy. This one is really simple, it covers the back and has spaghetti straps that you can adjust to make tighter or more lose.

Both swim suits are great, the only thing I would suggest is to definitely try them on first! I found that they run a little small. Also if you have a bigger cup size these might not work for you, because there’s not that much support.

Screen Shot 2016-07-05 at 9.38.57 PMThe last thing I picked up from Old Navy was this really cool boho cover up. I love the dip dyed effect it has, and it’s so easy to slip on and off at the beach.

I have a really sensitive scalp, so for me to go to tropical places like the Bahamas I HAVE to buy a hat and wear it most of the time or my head will be burnt and in pain for days! H&M has some really great inexpensive hats that can easily fold up and store in a beach bag.

Screen Shot 2016-07-05 at 9.25.00 PMLast but not least, sunglasses! We all have to protect our eyes from the sun, so why not look cute while doing it? I always buy mine from Urban Outfitters. They have great unique styles for a pretty affordable price. These were only $16.00! Maybe now I won’t feel so bad when I lose them in the ocean like I do every summer, haha.

Hope this helps all my traveling friends this summer! Enjoy the sun and be lazy in the sand.
