Traveling To Nassau, Bahamas

My vacation finally arrived and let me just say, it was beautiful!

One of the things I was looking forward to the most was the clear blue water the Bahamas has to offer, and I wasn’t disappointed! IMG_8770

My friends and I stayed at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort and this was the view from our room!

I’m jealous of the people that get to wake up to this on a daily basis. IMG_8774

We spent everyday on the beach. Tanning, swimming and some more swimming.

The ocean was the best part, clean warm water and white sand.

Lots of people sold clothing, bracelets, drinks and were even selling hair braiding on the beach.IMG_8814IMG_8785Fresh coconut drinks and a lot of other juices, and don’t forget the rum = BAHAMA-MAMA

The drink of choice!

It did rain a little bit when we were there, but it never lasted longer then 2o minutes and right after the sun would come out. So, most of the time we just stayed on the beach and waited. We had our swim suits on anyway who cares if we got even more wet, ha!IMG_8815

One thing we really wanted to try was snorkeling! We went on a boat to a private island and saw some fish! Some were white, almost clear, and others were blue with yellow, so cute. It was pretty cool, I did get a little motion sickness but sometimes you just gotta suck it up and still make the best of it! IMG_8832IMG_8878

It was one of the most relaxing trips I’ve been on and I didn’t have a care in the world, but I’m sure the drinks and getting a massage on the beach helped that, haha!Image-8

Everyone was so nice at the resort and just the locals in general. They were all just happy to be living life and talking to new people and were all about having a good time.

When you live in New York you forget about that sometimes, and this was definitely a good reminder to slow down and just be happy about the little things in life.
