On December 19th, 2016 I got to celebrate my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend, Chris!

Which is a crazy long time, because every time we tell people how long we’ve been dating they always like to remind us haha.

I guess it is weird for someone who’s 24 to be in such a committed relationship these days because that doesn’t really seem to happen anymore, but it’s definitely been working out for us.

When we started dating back in 2011 things were so different. I was definitely a different person back then. I feel like we both really did grow into adults together and shaped each other into who we are today. Which could have been really hard because people do change and you might not like what they turn into but for us it got better each year that pasted. We grew closer together and I think became better people.

I’ve learned a lot from being with someone for 5 years, it’s not always easy but it really is worth it. He’s my best friend and the person I can always come to no matter what. It’s a great feeling to know that you always have someone on your side to back you up and show you unconditional love!

People always ask us how we do it, and how have we stayed together so long and I never really know how to answer that question fully.

If you’re with the right person that fits you and brings out the best in you, why would you even think about that question. It just works. ❤
