Sur La Table Cooking Class With The BF

fullsizeoutput_1043

Chris has always loved cooking so when it came to picking out a gift for him I thought taking a cooking class would be super fun.

I booked this class online at Sur La Table in the Ridge Hill shopping center. The class was about 2 hours and 30 mins long, which flies by once you start chopping away.

fullsizeoutput_1045fullsizeoutput_1051fullsizeoutput_104cfullsizeoutput_1048The first thing on our menu was

  • Tuna and Avocado Ceviche with Plantain Chips

fullsizeoutput_1053

Next was:

  • Roasted Corn Salad with Chile, Lime, and Cotija Cheese (which was my favorite!)

IMG_8788fullsizeoutput_1055fullsizeoutput_1059The main dish:

  • Char-Grilled Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

fullsizeoutput_1057 Last was the dessert:

  • Mayan-Spiced Chocolate Pudding With Whipped Cream

Our Teacher Jessica Woodford was filled with information and eager to help us and she also made it fun, light and funny.

At the end of the class, your group (groups of 4) gets to eat everything you just made, which is probably the best part of the whole thing!

The whole experience was so fun, you get to meet new people and learn hands-on from a chef. Most importantly, you get to bond with whoever you go with. Chris and I had a great time laughing and working together to make a great meal. We’re already looking forward to more classes, maybe baking but that might be a disaster, haha!

Have you ever been to a cooking class?? What did you make?

When I saw the ad for these new nude shades I almost died! In everyday life, I wear nudes way more than any other color and all of these shades are so pretty I can’t wait to do a makeup look with them!

This bundle is $45 with free shipping.

These shades are different from the other kylie lip kits they are more of a cream finish and not a long lasting matte.

Have you guys tried these yet??? If so what’s your favorite shade?

My Desk Essentials

I recently reorganized my desk, which I do all the time because I’m never happy with it. Or maybe I just like rearranging things, hah.

IMG_1003

My set up is pretty simple. I like my desk to be pretty empty so I have room to do my DIYS, crafts and my planner.

What’s On My Desk:

I  have an iMac desktop that I got at Best Buy.

I like to keep my pens and markers in theses planters I got from Ikea. I love how clean they look, plus they don’t break the bank!

Some of the pencils I have in there are Ban.do Pencil set and there so cute! They each have a compliment written on them, it makes me not even want to use them haha.

The candle/ring holder and crystal were gifts.

The little plant is from Target.

The glass case the plant is in is from Amazon! Glass Terrarium

The book under that is my Q&A 5-year journal. I love things like this because I like looking back and see how much ive changed and grown as a person.

Above everything on the wall I have a Scratch Map! Overtime as I travel I get to scratch off where I’ve been and be inspired to travel more and see the world.

Last I have water. Whenever I’m on the computer I like to drink water and this brand is really cool. Boxed Water has a goal to save the planet and recycle more and I’m all about that so check out their website to learn more about them.

My Favorite Places To Eat In NYC During Spring!

Chris and I took a little trip to NYC to get some tasty treats and have a little date and I wanted to share it with you guys!

We stopped at Taiyaki first to get this adorable and delicious ice cream!

I got The classic which is vanilla, custard filling, strawberries, wafer, and chocolate drizzle because I’m basic hah. It was amazing, I think the best part is the wafer. It looks hard but its actually soft more like a pastry and man was it good!

Chris was more adventurous and got Straight Outta Japan which is matcha sesame swirl, red bean filling, machi and a wafer!

After ice cream, we walked around Soho and took some photos for my New York State Of Mind OOTD. When that was done we wanted to get some pizza like every New Yorker, hah!

Went to one of our favorite places, Artichoke Pizza!

Location: 114 10th Avenue
New York, NY
10011

We ordered 6 slices and shared them. The waiter thought it was way too much food, but we proved him wrong by only leaving crust at the end!

Slices we had:

Artichoke – Spinach & cream sauce, artichoke hearts, mozzarella & pecorino romano cheese

Margherita – Plum tomato sauce, olive oil, fresh basil & a blend of Italian cheeses

Vodka (Sicilian Style) – Vodka cream & tomato sauce, a blend of Italian cheeses (my FAV)

Meatball Parm – Homemade meatballs, mozzarella & reggiano cheese, cooked tomato sauce

Crab – Lobster Sauce, surimi crab meat & fresh mozzarella

White – Ricotta, fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano & reggiano cheese

Hello, my favorite internet people!

Today I decided to do a fashion post! Which is rare because to me I dress pretty simply, but I had a great backdrop for some photos and I decided: why not?

Location: Soho New York City

Top: American Eagle

Jacket: Marshalls

Jeans: New york and Company

Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Shoes: Forever 21

I feel like my fake leather jacket is a big staple in my wardrobe, it can really help put an outfit together and bring a little extra something to my look. Soon it will be too hot and I won’t be able to wear it, so I’m going to over wear it while I can!

What’s your favorite spring outfit? Is it mostly black like mine? Haha

Welcoming Spring At Bear Mountain

This Monday Chris and I went to Bear Mountain! We both had off work and it was so nice out! We just wanted to get outside and do a little bit of hiking. When we got there it was so busy! Filled with kids running around, having lunch and playing.

During the week Bear Mountain is free! Which is great because I think the weekends it’s $10 to park.

It was the perfect day, the weather was beautiful and really sunny, greats for taking photos.

I brought my Nikon D3300 with us and we both snapped away the whole time. We walked the path, got a couple of drinks and then went to the little free zoo they have there.

fullsizeoutput_f12DSC_0013fullsizeoutput_f18DSC_0015.JPGfullsizeoutput_f1afullsizeoutput_f1ffullsizeoutput_f20

Most of the animals were either eating or sleeping and no in between. I’m not surprised if I was them I would be lazy too haha.

UMMMM IDK RUN FOR MY LIFE???!

DSC_0041fullsizeoutput_f27DSC_0043

The bears were sleeping the whole time in the shade! They were named Pal and Saidie a.k.a Palisades! Haha I laughed probably too much at that pun, so good job Bear Mountain haha.

DSC_0044DSC_0045DSC_0046DSC_0054fullsizeoutput_f2bDSC_0068fullsizeoutput_f32DSC_0079

Lastly, we hiked down to the water and on our way we found this huge deer head statue hanging off the side of a rock. So being the rebels that we are we climbed up on it and took some selfies. But don’t let this cool picture fool you, I thought I was going to fall to my death. Apparently I’m afraid of heights, hah!

Fab Fit Fun Spring Unboxing

IMG_0648IMG_0652fullsizeoutput_f03fullsizeoutput_f04

I decided to try out a new box and the one that appealed to me the most was FabFitFun box. It seemed to have everything I would enjoy in it like fitness beauty, fashion and other lifestyle items.

This box is a seasonal box which means it only comes for spring, summer, fall and winter. Each box is around $50.00 depending on which package you choose, the yearly or the individual box each season.

What I like most about this box is that all the items are full-sized! No travel-size minis here! So I feel like you’re getting way more for your money and you really get to learn if you enjoy the product and if you would buy from that company.

Here is the list of products I received in my box:

-Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish Set
-Emerald + DUV bracelet
-Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion Exfoliator
-Gypsy Round Blanket
-RealHer Lip Kit
-Briogeo Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray
-Milly Zip Pouch
-Karuna Hydrating Face Mask
-Nature’s Bounty Hair Skin & Nails Gummies

I can’t wait to use everything, especially the blanket! It’s like a tie-dye blue and green and I think it’s going to look amazing when I go to the beach this summer!

I’ve already tried the nature bounty hair and skin gummies and they taste soo good probably too good. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s only two a day and not candy haha!

I’m really excited for the summer box that comes out in June and I can’t wait to see what I get that time!

If anyone wants a review of these products once I start to play with them let me know ❤

The Couple Bean Boozled Challenge!

So awhile back my boyfriend Chris and i did the bean boozled challenge that’s been going around on youtube and we decided that we would do the challenge and film the whole thing! Little did we know that it was going to be the most disgusting thing we’ve ever done!

Enjoy this beautiful video of us throwing up! lol xoxo ❤

My 5 Year Anniversary With Chris

On December 19th, 2016 I got to celebrate my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend, Chris!

Which is a crazy long time, because every time we tell people how long we’ve been dating they always like to remind us haha.

I guess it is weird for someone who’s 24 to be in such a committed relationship these days because that doesn’t really seem to happen anymore, but it’s definitely been working out for us.

fullsizeoutput_97

When we started dating back in 2011 things were so different. I was definitely a different person back then. I feel like we both really did grow into adults together and shaped each other into who we are today. Which could have been really hard because people do change and you might not like what they turn into but for us it got better each year that pasted. We grew closer together and I think became better people.

img_1638

I’ve learned a lot from being with someone for 5 years, it’s not always easy but it really is worth it. He’s my best friend and the person I can always come to no matter what. It’s a great feeling to know that you always have someone on your side to back you up and show you unconditional love!

(I NO GAG RIGHT?! LOL <3)

img_7408img_9883People always ask us how we do it, and how have we stayed together so long and I never really know how to answer that question fully.

If you’re with the right person that fits you and brings out the best in you, why would you even think about that question. It just works. ❤
